Description

User Story

As a player, I want to activate switches to trigger events, so that I can open doors, solve puzzles, and progress through the game.

Description

  • Switches can be physical (levers, buttons) or magical (runes, sigils, elemental triggers).
  • Activating a switch may open doors, trigger traps, move platforms, or activate mechanisms.
  • Some switches require specific elemental interactions (e.g., Fire rune ignites when hit with Fire).
  • Some switches are timed and must be activated quickly.

Test Cases

  • Verify that interacting with a switch triggers the correct event.
  • Ensure that elemental switches respond only to their corresponding element.
  • Confirm that timed switches reset if not activated in time.
  • Validate that switch-based events (e.g., doors opening, bridges lowering) function correctly.
  • Ensure that switches cannot be re-triggered if they are one-time use (if applicable).
  • Check that switch activation states persist when reloading a game (if applicable).
