User Story¶
As a player, I want to activate switches to trigger events, so that I can open doors, solve puzzles, and progress through the game.
Description¶
- Switches can be physical (levers, buttons) or magical (runes, sigils, elemental triggers).
- Activating a switch may open doors, trigger traps, move platforms, or activate mechanisms.
- Some switches require specific elemental interactions (e.g., Fire rune ignites when hit with Fire).
- Some switches are timed and must be activated quickly.
Test Cases¶
- Verify that interacting with a switch triggers the correct event.
- Ensure that elemental switches respond only to their corresponding element.
- Confirm that timed switches reset if not activated in time.
- Validate that switch-based events (e.g., doors opening, bridges lowering) function correctly.
- Ensure that switches cannot be re-triggered if they are one-time use (if applicable).
- Check that switch activation states persist when reloading a game (if applicable).
