As a player, I want to collect key pickups, so that I can unlock doors, chests, or activate mechanisms needed for progression.
Description¶
- Keys are single-use pickups that unlock specific doors, chests, or switches.
- Some keys are universal, while others are designed for specific locks.
- Keys are automatically used when interacting with the correct object.
- Certain keys may be required to progress, while others unlock optional content.
Test Cases¶
- Verify that collecting a key adds it to the player’s inventory or key counter.
- Ensure that keys are removed from the inventory when used.
- Confirm that keys only work on intended locks or mechanisms.
- Validate that players cannot use keys incorrectly or on the wrong object.
- Ensure that visual/audio feedback plays when a key is collected and used.
