User Story

As a player, I want to avoid spikes that activate when I step on or near them, so that I can time my movements carefully to progress without taking damage.

Description

  • Spikes trigger based on player movement, either when stepped on or when entering a detection zone.
  • Some spikes retract after a delay, allowing for timed movement.
  • Spikes may reset after activation, requiring players to wait for a safe window.

Test Cases

  • Verify that Pressure Spikes trigger when the player steps on or near them.
  • Ensure that players take damage if hit by the spikes when they extend.
  • Confirm that spikes retract properly after activation.
  • Validate that Pressure Spikes reset after a set period.
  • Do the spikes retract back into the holes after a little time?v
  • Ensure that some Pressure Spikes have different activation patterns in later levels.
